After qualifying medicine, I pursued basic and then higher surgical training in various university hospitals in UK and incentives of excellence overseas. I received my membership and then the fellowship, FRCS(Plast), from the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh. After clearing the European exit exam for Plastic Surgery, (European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery), I further specialized in reconstructive microsurgery from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with Prof Jaumé Masia and in aesthetic or cosmetic plastic surgery from Akademikliniken, Stockholm with Prof Per Hedén.
In my career, I have worked as a consultant in the NHS, as well as a fellow at leading centres in Spain and Sweden.
